B&H Collective Action heard from tenants and activists about the issues they have faced and possible solutions. People facing eviction, having to live in emergency accommodation, and families being moved out of the city due to the lack of social housing, spoke movingly.
The meeting heard from ACORN Community Union’s Poppy Burt about its work to defend tenants, and the housing lawyer Nick Bano, author of Against Landlords, who spoke about the history of landlordism in the UK and how to end the housing crisis by taking profit out of the rental sector.
